Establish what belongs in the work.
Identify the sections to remove and any pieces intended to remain. Note shared boundaries, attached gates and connections to walls or other structures. Resolve ownership and permission questions before treating a visible fence as something you can authorize for removal.
If a new fence will follow, show both the removal area and the intended new line. Keeping an old location is a choice to verify, not proof that the placement is appropriate. A survey and relevant site documents help frame that discussion.

Discuss equipment access, nearby planting, paving and utilities. Ground disturbance requires proper utility planning and site review. Avoid assuming that removal is exempt from those considerations simply because the fence already exists.

Describe the site you expect afterward.
Specify debris collection, loading and disposal. Ask what happens to holes, disturbed ground and nearby surfaces. Cleanup, grading, planting and pavement repair are different tasks; make clear which are included and which belong in a separate scope.
If the fence serves an access-control or pet-containment purpose, discuss how the opening will be managed while work is underway. Pool-related barriers require particular attention to maintaining an appropriate safe arrangement throughout the project.
